Adamo:
About Me

Horses have been a major driving force in my life for as long as I can remember. My first trainer told me that I would never be able to afford the kind of horse i wanted so I had to learn to make it. That was a turning point in my life as a rider. I realized that she was right, even if i had the fanciest well-trained horse i'd still want it to be a little nicer and more trained. Since then I have devoted my life to constantly learning and also sharing my knowledge insight and humor with my friends and clients.
My background in horses is varied. I started out with dreams of becoming a star in the eventing world. Competing in my first Novice Level Event within a year of riding. After my gelding puled a suspensory I spent the summer riding off the track horses, greenies and lots of re-schools while also competing in the Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation divisions offered by the NCHJA.

In college I rode mainly Equitation and really developed a love for the art of riding correctly. I also studied the forward riding system developed by Captain Vladmir Littauer who is the father of our modern riding system. This system of confidence building blocks and steps, is the base of my training system for both my horses and my students. The goal is to achieve the best possible performance capable from that combination of horse and rider.
I graduated from St. Andrew's Presbyterian College with a major in Equine Business Management in 05 and have been teaching and riding competively ever since as well as hunting with the Tennessee Valley Hunt.

I created this website because i love to talk and I am constantly stumbling upon very nice horses and very nice people needing very nice horses. My goal is to put these two together and make people happy while placing my sales horses in great homes.
If there is any way i can help you, or if you would like to list your horse with Adamo Equestrian Please let me know.
Matt
